Barley House July Business Card Winner Astrid Bessemer, program director of The Learning Tree Child Care Center in Elgin, was selected as the next Barley House monthly winner of the random business card drawing. As part of her prize, Astrid won a $25.00 Barley House gift card. Astrid was “very happy to win” and she enjoyed dinner with her family right after her photo was taken. “This contest is having a life of its own,” said owner/manager Brian Jason. “We’re happy our customers are enjoying our food, craft beers, and affordable wine selection and noticing all of the fun activities we’re promoting at the Barley House.”
Guess the Tootsie Rolls Winner
Stephanie Power of Crystal Lake guessed the exact amount – 333 - of tootsie rolls in the jar located in our entry way. She gladly accepted the $25.00 Barley House gift card prize from our Chef Andrew Shedden. Stephanie considers herself a regular at the Barley House and said that she and her daughter enjoy the food and atmosphere. Thanks, Stephanie and congratulations!
Barley House Stimulates Business Dan Echols of Civiltech Engineering, Inc., located in Crystal Lake, Itasca, and Chicago, is the first monthly winner of the new random business card drawing at the Barley House restaurant located in Algonquin Commons. As part of his prize, Echols, a resident of Algonquin, won a $25.00 Barley House gift card and launched the soon-to-be-famous “Let’s Stimulate Business ---Business Card/Publicity Photo” promotion.  Upon arriving to accept his gift card, Echols (right) posed with Barley House owner/manager Brian Jason for a photo that will be on display at the Barley House entrance throughout the month of June. Echols noted he was “surprised to win and was glad to receive the $25.00 gift card and be a part of the promotion.” “We appreciate all of our customers,” said Jason. “Why not help promote the businesses in our community with this fun random business card promotion? We’ve just taken it an additional step to give the winner extra publicity at the Barley House.”
